Webb & Brown-Neaves is proud once again, to have built this year’s MSWA Mega Home Lottery Show Home. For the first time ever, the home is located in beautiful Applecross!

MSWA provides vital support and services to people living with all neurological conditions in Western Australia. WB have been building MSWA’s show homes for over 7 years, creating a total of 13 homes in support of the organisation.

Webb & Brown-Neaves continue to make this commitment to MSWA, because we know how important their work is. MSWA is one of the biggest contributors to MS research in Australia. This year alone, MSWA has made a record breaking $3.5 million in contribution to neurological research and continue to provide essential services and facilities for Western Australians living with a neurological condition.

We spoke to WB’s Interior Design Consultant, Melissa Redwood about her inspiration behind the interior design of the home and her favourite features throughout.“I would describe the interior design of this home as Modern Lux.” she said. “I have achieved this by using dark, sophisticated colours throughout the cabinetry and furniture but also softened the palette with some pale pinks and soft greys.”

Being in Applecross, location was a major factor in Melissa’s inspiration behind the home’s interior.

“Applecross is a well-established, affluent suburb in Perth. I felt like this home needed a luxurious and opulent feel about it while still remaining warm and inviting.”“I love all the little details in the home.” she said. “The marble tiles in the bathrooms and ensuite, stunning Italian glass chandeliers in the stair void and oversized pieces of artwork throughout.”

“I’ve also added the turquoise dining chairs to add a pop of rich, vibrant colour in the home.”The favourite room in the home for Melissa is the master bedroom upstairs. With river views and a spacious ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, it is an inviting space in the home.

“I would describe the master bedroom as more of a master wing. It has its own separate entry hall which leads to a fully fitted-out walk-in wardrobe and a large, opulent marble bathroom complete with a stunning freestanding bath.”

“This all then leads into the huge master bedroom, featuring raked ceilings and a balcony that has stunning river views.”

The home also features an impressive stair void, with a curved wall and views of the swimming pool.

"Another one of my favourite features is the central part of the home.” Melissa said. “As you walk into this area, it features double height windows which draw the eye out to the crystal-clear swimming pool, lush green gardens and alfresco area.”

“The space also features a double-storey stair void, a grand and very opulent curved staircase and cascading Italian glass chandeliers hanging above. It is a stunning space in the home.”

And we can’t forget about the kitchen. Melissa designed the kitchen to add luxury and sophistication to the home.

“The kitchen features an almost black coloured timber, shaker profiled cabinetry doors and a huge central island bench overlooking the dining and living spaces.” she said. “It is the perfect kitchen for entertaining friends or having a large family gathering and features plenty of storage. There is also a scullery for added storage of food items, a perfect little hiding place for dishes and clutter.”
