On Saturday 19th October 2019, Webb & Brown-Neaves hosted “The Summer Soiree” in collaboration with Tiffany Keal Creative Studio and Fox and Rabbit Premium Flowers. With Summer just around the corner, the event was the perfect opportunity for guests to learn all the skills needed for a gorgeous fuss-free summer gathering.

Grazing tables have become one of the biggest trends in catering, and for good reason. They can be prepared in advance, they’re easy for guests to eat, and most importantly, they look absolutely stunning!Tiffany Keal of Tiffany Keal Creative Studio showed guests how to create the perfect grazing table, a growing trend and a must for any Summer get-together.
It’s no secret that beautiful flowers and floral materials bring life, warmth and vibrancy to a room. Flowers themselves are trending when it comes to home styling. They evoke a range of emotions from joy to pride, and have the power to change the atmosphere of a space with dramatic shapes and aroma.Rebecca Const from Fox & Rabbit Premium Flowers demonstrated how guests could style their home with floral elements that are easy, resourceful, cost effective and make a statement.
Tiffany and Rebecca’s top five tips on the day were:
1. Make a statement
2. Make it your own
3. Quality over quantity
4. Create your tablescape
5. Storytelling
Tiffany shared tips on how to create the perfect grazing table, including adding vinyl stickers to make the area pop. She discussed the foods that work well together, where they should be placed, and how to make the design your own. At the conclusion of the masterclass, guests were invited to indulge in the gorgeous grazing table Tiffany had created!
Rebecca shared some incredible styling tips for creating a beautiful garland. Her tips included working with what you have in your backyard, making it ‘WOW’ without breaking the bank, and creating architecturally interesting shapes within the garland. Guests were also lucky enough to learn about working flowers into an event, and how to run a story across the home, rather than collections of ‘stuff’ pushed into the same room.
The Summer Soiree was hosted at Webb & Brown-Neaves award-winning display home, The Moda, located in Dianella, Western Australia.
At the conclusion of the event, guests received a take-home style and produce kit to arm them with all the tools needed to ensure every get-together this summer is a memorable one.Webb & Brown-Neaves would like to thank Tiffany and Rebecca for sharing their top five tips with us, teaching us how to create the perfect Summer Soiree.
Tiffany’s top tips for throwing the perfect summer gathering:
When styling the perfect fuss-free gathering we love to keep it simple and focus on a couple of key elements of WOW within the home. This could be a beautiful champagne station, created using a unique tray to house the glassware, feature punch bowl holding the bottles and bowl of delicious strawberries.
A grazing table of decadent produce. We often feature this on the kitchen bench or coffee table…depending on the main area you would like your guests to gather. This can be pre-set, so you can relax and join your guests in the festivities.
We always stick to our ‘less is more’ approach, avoiding using too many different types of produce. We also highly recommend to ‘hero’ whole wheels of cheese that have guests swooning over.
Rebecca’s top floristry tips:
There are many helpful floristry supplies, such as wires and tapes, that will make your DIY flower projects easier to produce. However most of these items can be substituted with household alternatives like skewers and sticky tape.
Make a plan before you buy. Shopping for flowers can be overwhelming the first few times. With so many colours and varieties to choose from, it’s easy to become swept up in the moment while making your important selections. Before heading to a flower market or florist consider how many bunches of flowers you need to buy, and have a colour palette in mind, so you don’t get distracted by all of the beautiful options that are off scheme.
Mix textures and shapes for a dynamic and interesting arrangement. Buy types of flowers that are different in shape, head size, and height. Something tall, something round, something spikey, something with nuts or berries. Look beyond what you think is pretty, and select shapes and textures that will make your arrangement endlessly interesting.
