Did you know that being a full-time international student gets you access to student-exclusive discounts?! From dining out to shopping and entertainment, make the most of your student status and save some dollars!

We've put together a handy guide to making the most of the student discounts available in Perth and Australia. 

Just make sure to always carry your student ID with you, and don't forget to ask the cashier if they do student discounts. Happy saving!

Student Discount Platforms

A great place to find a bunch of discounts is a Student Discount Platform. Not many places offer permanent discounts for students, so these platforms are a great way to find out what's on offer at the moment, as their teams work to provide you with the most up-to-date discounts available.

UNIDAYS

UNIDAYS is a member-based platform for Australian students that partners with many brands to offer discounts on fashion, electronics, and lifestyle products, plus more. It's free to sign up with your student email address, and you can download the app to browse the available discounts. Sign up to access discounts at ASOS, ADIDAS, The Iconic, Nike and more.

Student Edge

Just about identical to UNIDAYS, Student Edge is free for students and offers discounts on a heap of brands. They're particularly great for their food discounts. Sign up to get discounts at Chatime, Krispy Kreme, HOYTS, Boost Juice, and Domino's. They even offer discounts for streaming services such as Disney+!

Student Beans

Another great, and more importantly, free, platform is Student Beans. Student Beans provides awesome discounts on brands like Gymshark, Cotton On, and Glassons.

University Guild Discounts

If you are attending a University in Perth, signing up to their Student Guild will get you access to a range of discounts, particularly for food and beverages sold on campus - super convenient!

Streaming Services

For all your music needs, Spotify offers a student price of $6.99 per month, discounted from the usual $13.99. You'll just need to verify your student status through their third-party service, SheerID.

For ad-free YouTube and YouTube Music, try YouTube's premium student plan for $10.49 per month, discounted from the usual price of $16.99.

You can currently get 12 months of Disney+ for the price of 10 through UNIDAYS, so you can start streaming your favourite Disney movies at a lower price.

Transport Discounts

With a Student SmartRider card, you will be charged the concession fare when travelling on trains, buses, and ferries throughout Perth. That's more than 50% off the standard fare! You can purchase a Student SmartRider card through your institution.

Activities

Looking for something to do with friends without breaking the bank? Check out these discounts at cinemas, museums and the likes.

• HOYTS: Get $12.50 tickets Monday to Thursday with your Student Edge account.

• Event cinemas: Get $12 tickets Monday to Thursday with your Cinebuzz account.

• Perth Zoo: Get $7.90 off the standard price as a student.

• Adventure World: Get $8 off the regular price as a student.

• Holey Moley: $12 per person for 9 holes (usually $22) with UNIDAYS.

• Pot Black Pool and Snooker: 10% off for students on weekdays.

• WA Museum Boola Bardip: $10 entry for students (usually $15).
