What's On in Perth this Easter Long Weekend

The Easter long weekend this year will begin on the 18th April, which is Good Friday. Easter Sunday falls on the 20th April, and the following day is a public holiday (Easter Monday). Whether you want to celebrate Easter, relax, or just enjoy a few days off, there are plenty of free and cheap events and activities happening around Perth. We've put together some of the must-do events this Easter long weekend. 


Perth Easter Gathering


Date: Sunday 20th April

Time: 2.30 - 4.30pm

Location: Yagan Square Amphitheatre, Perth


The annual Perth Easter Gathering is happening this Easter Sunday! Join hundreds of people as they gather at the Yagan Square Amphitheatre for a time of public prayer, workshop, and communion in celebration of the resurrection of Christ. 


Sculpture at Bathers


Date: now until Monday 21st April

Time: All day

Location: Bathers Beach, Fremantle


Sculpture at Bathers returns to Bathers Beach for its sixth event. Head to Fremantle to check out this iconic outdoor sculpture exhibition, and with so much to do in Freo, why not make a day of it? Fremantle is home to an array of beautiful parks and locally-owned cafes and restaurants. So grab a coffee and a pastry, and marvel at the amazing art displayed along the beach!


Fremantle International Street Arts Festival


Date: Friday 18th April to Monday 21st April

Time: 11.30am onwards

Location: Fremantle


And while you're in Freo checking out the Sculptures at Bathers Beach, take the opportunity to experience art that stops traffic at the Fremantle International Arts Festival, held throughout its historic streets. In 2025, the festival welcomes acts from Peru, Japan, Canada, Argentina, France, Finland, Italy, The Netherlands, New Zealand, and Australia. 


Brunch Markets


Date: Sunday 20th April

Time: 7am - 12pm

Location: Bell Tower, Barrack Square, Perth


Easter Sunday is the last day to visit Perth's biggest outdoor brunch market! The market pops up every Sunday in front of the Bell Tower in Elizabeth Quay. Enjoy an array of brunch foods, smoothies, baked goods, savoury delights, coffee, and gourmet treats. 


Telethon Community Cinemas


Date: now until Saturday 26th April

Time: Doors open at 6pm, movie starts at 7pm

Location: Bassendean, Burswood, Joondalup, Murdoch


Telethon Community Cinemas' season is coming to an end, with the last screenings on Saturday 26th April. Don't miss the chance to see a new movie or a classic under the stars! Student tickets are only $10, but don't forget to bring your student ID. You can pre-book your tickets online or buy them at the entrance. Telethon conveniently has outdoor cinemas at four locations across Perth - Bassendean, Burswood, Joondalup, and Murdoch - so you can pick the one closest to you. 


Jurassic Kingdom


Date: Friday 11th - Sunday 27th April

Time: Day sessions 10am - 4pm, Night sessions 6 - 9.30pm

Location: Burswood Park, Burswood


Jurassic Kingdom is the ultimate destination for Perth's dinosaur lovers. With dinosaurs roaring at all hours, you can choose to explore by day, or embark on an exciting night time adventure. Highlights include 20+ life-size animatronic dinosaurs, 360 degree Antarctic cinema, 3D dino escape, thrilling carnival rides and sideshow games, food trucks, and more. Ticket prices start at $25 when you book online.
